Dirt and sweat accumulate on the door knobs and handles which in turn creates favourable conditions for the bacterial growth. ABLOY ACTIVE finish kills bacteria and significantly reduces their propagation on the door knobs and handles. The products covered with antibacterial finish stay cleaner and their users healthier. In 24 hours 99% of the most common bacteria die on the ABLOY ACTIVE finish, including the widespread MRSA hospital bacteria.
The products are non-allergic. The new product line was tested in the Microbiology lab of the University of Helsinki’s Department of Public Health.

ABLOY ACTIVE products also need to be cleaned, but it is easier than cleaning the common handles and one needs considerably less cleaning agents. This is how the direct contact with cleaning agents can be reduced for the personnel working in the hospitals and clinics.
The new finish is extremely durable to sustain the antibacterial effect of the products.
