Electric strikes
Electric strikes are one of the simpliest solutions of electrical door locking. Distinguishing characteristics is speed, durability and amount of opening cycles.
Things to consider when choosing an electric strike:
1. What is the operating voltage of the access control system? Usually 12 or 24 V.
2. Incase of power failure, should the electric strike remain closed or open? Electric strikes on the evacuation doors should remain open but closed on the fire protection doors.
3. Incase the strike will remain open for a longer period of time we recommend using electric strikes with reduced power consumption.
The electric strike is mounted in the place of the strike of the existing lock into the door or gate post.
